In this role, you will manage bookkeeping responsibilities for a portfolio of small business clients while providing exceptional customer service and financial support through cloud accounting tools and virtual collaboration.
- Serve as a trusted accounting advisor for small business clients within your assigned portfolio.
- Manage bookkeeping activities including transaction categorization, reconciliations, monthly close processes, and financial statement preparation.
- Use cloud-based accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Conduct recurring virtual meetings with clients to review bookkeeping results and discuss financial performance.
- Communicate accounting concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Identify and flag potential bookkeeping issues while proactively supporting client needs.
- Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and service excellence.
- Collaborate with internal team members by sharing knowledge, best practices, and process improvements.
- Contribute to individual and team revenue targets through efficient account management and client satisfaction.
This role requires a strong customer-focused mindset, foundational accounting knowledge, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related customer service environments.
- Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms and digital bookkeeping processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts in simple terms.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with small business clients is considered an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Annual salary of approximately $51,000 CAD.
