If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Part-Time (20hrs/wk) Mobile Crisis Response Clinician!
What You Will Be Doing
Working as a part-time Mobile Crisis Response Clinician with our Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) team, you will be responsible for working as a team to see individuals in the community to complete crisis interventions, safety planning and assessing for an appropriate level of care. You will be working in the community with other clinicians, peers, community health workers and law enforcement. This team will be staffed 24 hours a day and a variety of shifts are available. You will work in a variety of emergency settings, including individual homes, crisis housing, homeless shelters as well as other community-based settings. You should have a strong understanding of recovery philosophy and person-centered care principles to be able to effectively engage with clients at their individual levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (written & verbal), and experience with SA/MI and the criminal justice system is preferred.
The following 20-hour per week shift schedules are available:
- Four-day work week, with occasional weekend & holiday rotations:
- Work from 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm on Tuesdays, & Wednesdays and from 12pm-10pm on Sundays.
OR
- Work from 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm on Tuesdays, & Wednesdays and from 12pm-10pm on Sundays.
- Variable Schedule, with weekend & holiday rotations:
- Predetermined on a regular basis
Schedule preference may be discussed in the interview.

What We Require
You will have a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. A valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required. You will have a minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting. You’ll have extensive knowledge of the DMS IV diagnostic criteria, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, evidence-based and promising practice interventions, and familiarity with psychotropic medications, experience with involuntary hospitalization procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Required Licensure: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited License Psychologist (LLP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required. Those with limited licensure will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audiological appliances and devices to increase mobility.
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing. Requires light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot and ability to hear and communicate verbally.
Working Conditions – In office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. May encounter community environments that include homes, schools, courts, and other community settings that may or may not be barrier-free. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area may be required.
