Housing Coordinator at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo – Kalamazoo, Michigan

What You Will Be Doing

Working as a Housing Coordinator you will be responsible for Client intake, assisting with locating housing for clients, connecting clients to supportive services, enforcing, and holding clients accountable to shelter expectations, overseeing the day-to-day and as-needed operations of the shelter. This position is responsible for entering data into “Service Point”, the ISK Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). You will be ensuring data quality and performing data analysis for the ISK Housing Recovery Center Continuum of Care Homeless in conjunction with Kalamazoo County and the Michigan Statewide Homeless Management Information System (MSHMIS). You will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects effectively with short deadlines and the ability to work with a variety of systems, agencies, data, and individuals while exhibiting excellent communication skills. This position is grant funded through 9/30/2027.

What We Require
A high school diploma or GED and three years’ experience in related mental health field working with target population or a bachelor’s degree in human services field and one-year experience.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
