Cube Root Corporation is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to join our team supporting the U.S. Virgin Islands Disaster Recovery Program. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the recovery and redevelopment of critical public infrastructure while working on one of the Caribbean's most significant capital improvement programs.
About the Role
The Commercial Contracts Manager will serve as a key member of the Owner's Representative team, providing commercial and contractual leadership throughout the procurement and delivery of major capital construction projects. This role supports contract strategy, procurement, negotiations, contract administration, change management, and claims resolution while ensuring compliance with client requirements and applicable procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and administer procurement activities for professional services and construction contracts.
• Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bids (IFBs), and other solicitation documents.
• Coordinate and administer competitive procurement processes.
• Support proposal evaluations and provide guidance on procurement procedures and scoring.
• Participate in contractor negotiations, contract awards, and contract execution.
• Prepare and administer contract modifications, amendments, and task orders.
• Review contractor change orders, requests for equitable adjustment, and contract claims.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project managers and program leadership.
• Identify contractual risks and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain procurement and contract documentation in accordance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction management, legal, finance, and client representatives to support successful project delivery.
Projects You'll Support
You will help deliver complex capital projects that improve the quality of life throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands, including:
• Educational facilities
• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Government and public safety buildings
• Transportation infrastructure
• Water, wastewater, and power systems
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Law, Procurement, Contracts, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial contract management, procurement, or contract administration.
• Experience supporting large capital construction, engineering, infrastructure, or public sector programs.
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices and contract administration.
• Experience negotiating contracts, administering modifications, and resolving commercial issues.
• Experience reviewing change orders, claims, and contract disputes.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience serving as an Owner's Representative.
• Experience with federally funded capital programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, FHWA, FTA, or similar).
• Professional certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, PMP, or equivalent.
