Summary
kidSTREAM, an emerging Children’s Museum, is seeking a dynamic, guest-focused, and collaborative Guest Services Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations and ensure an exceptional visitor experience for all guests. This role oversees daily admissions, retail operations, and guest engagement, ensuring every interaction reflects kidSTREAM’s mission of learning through play.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for building, training, and supervising a team of Guest Services Associates. This role plays a critical part in shaping the first impression of the museum—creating a welcoming, inclusive, and joyful environment for children and families.
The ideal candidate is an experienced customer service leader with strong operational skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Front-of-House Operations (40%)
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations including admissions, ticketing, and guest inquiries
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and high-quality experience for all guests from arrival to departure
- Resolve guest concerns and feedback in a professional, timely, and guest-centered manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing front-of-house environment
- Collaborate with Marketing and Programs teams to communicate daily offerings, events, and promotions to guests
Team Leadership & Staff Supervision (40%)
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of Guest Services Associates and volunteers
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure excellent customer service and operational consistency
- Develop and implement training materials and standard operating procedures for front-of-house operations
- Model best practices in guest engagement, communication, and problem-solving
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment
Operations & Retail Support (20%)
- Support museum store operations, including merchandising, inventory tracking, and point-of-sale transactions
- Assist with cash handling procedures, daily reconciliation, and reporting
- Track and report on attendance, revenue, and guest feedback metrics
- Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, workflows, and overall guest experience
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in guest services, retail, hospitality, or front-of-house operations (museum, entertainment, or family-focused environments preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including training, scheduling, and supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with POS, ticketing, or CRM systems
- Experience in museum, nonprofit, or family entertainment environments
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with retail stocking or event setup
