JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet members and guests with grace and professionalism.
- Present menus, take orders, and deliver exquisite food and wine service in upscale restaurants.
- Offer menu insights, make recommendations, and accommodate special requests.
- Ensure efficient order taking and the accurate delivery of dishes and beverages.
- Take orders, serve quick meals, and handle cash and card transactions accurately within the casual restaurant.
- Set and reset dining tables according to club standards.
- Uphold a clean, well-organized, and visually appealing dining environment.
- Provide personalized and friendly service, answering questions and accommodating member/guest preferences.
- Develop a deep understanding of all menus, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Keep informed about daily specials, wines, dietary considerations, and promotions.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and member/guest tabs accurately, adhering to financial protocols.
- Reconcile cash receipts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to grooming standards.
- Keep your work area and dining areas clean and sanitary.
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and bussing staff to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Skillfully mix, garnish, and serve a diverse range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty drinks, as needed.
- Assist in setting and resetting dining tables according to club standards, arranging place settings, utensils, and glassware.
- All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Restaurants Manager that reasonably fall within the scope of the position and department.
Previous serving experience preferred; fine dining, hospitality, hotel, resort, or country club experience highly desirable.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to handle multiple tables and priorities simultaneously.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Experience with POS systems preferred.
Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required or ability to obtain.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry trays of food and beverages.
Ability to work various shifts. We are closed for dinner but we have breakfast, lunch, and happy hour shifts.
