The Commercial Warehouse Associate is responsible for the organization, accuracy, and flow of commercial inventory to support field technicians and installation teams. This role ensures that commercial materials are properly received, documented, stocked, and deployed efficiently to meet installation schedules and customer commitments.

This position serves as a key operational link between vendors, the warehouse, commercial administrators, and field teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive in managing inventory accuracy and shipment coordination.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Manage and maintain all commercial inventory within the warehouse.
  • Perform weekly physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Process inventory adjustments and maintain accurate system records.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs to management.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse storage areas.

Receiving & Vendor Coordination

  • Receive and inspect incoming commercial shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Conduct 3-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Communicate with vendors to establish and confirm ETA on incoming materials.
  • Proactively follow up on delayed or backordered items.
  • Process RGA/RMA documentation when needed.

Field & Installation Support

  • Coordinate with Commercial Administrators to ensure materials are ready for scheduled installations.
  • Stock and maintain technician truck inventory.
  • Assist technicians with loading materials for daily installations.
  • Ensure all necessary parts and equipment are staged ahead of scheduled jobs.

Operational Support

  • Assist with broader warehouse operations as bandwidth allows.
  • Support efficient warehouse layout and space utilization.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support commercial operations.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience preferred (commercial or construction industry experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational and inventory control skills.
  • Experience coordinating shipments and vendor communications.
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred).
  • Ability to lift and move materials consistent with warehouse demands.
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with office and field teams.

Working Conditions

This role operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions when loading or transporting materials. Proper safety equipment must be used at all times to prevent injury.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials regularly (up to 50 lbs).
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and material handling.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
  • Clear verbal communication in warehouse and job site environments.
