Job Summary:
The Commodity Contract Specialist plays a key role in managing grower contracts, entering and maintaining data in the ERP system, and supporting the operations of the Northern Processing and Wildlife divisions. This position ensures accurate documentation, invoicing, and reporting related to commodity transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grower Contract Management:
- Complete and manage grower contracts including data entry, mailing, and record keeping.
- Maintain knowledge of contract details, such as pricing, discounts, delivery points, and contract language.
- ERP System Administration:
- Learn and continuously improve working knowledge of the ERP system.
- Enter and update grower/vendor information.
- Enter commodity receipts for Northern Processing and Wildlife divisions.
- Complete transfer orders for Northern Processing and Wildlife divisions.
- Invoice and Order Processing:
- Handle and approve freight invoices related to commodity receipts.
- Enter planting seed orders, including sales, returns, and transfers.
- Complete shipping invoices for the Processing division.
- Reporting and Tracking:
- Run routine position reports for the Processing and Wildlife divisions.
- Send and track annual planting seed confirmations.
- Maintain accurate records for loads received at both company and third-party facilities.
- Complete storage and handling calculations for 3rd parties
- Complete shrink forms when crops have been cleaned out from third-party locations.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with various tasks and projects related to commodity documentation and data management as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in contract administration, commodities, agriculture, or a related field.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not required
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
