Relocation Assistance: This position may be eligible for relocation assistance of up to $8,000. To qualify, you must be moving to North Dakota from another state and currently live more than 100 miles away. You must also commit to working in this position for at least one year.

Position Summary
The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective flow of materials, parts, and products throughout the organization. This role manages supplier relationships, purchasing activities, inventory control, and logistics coordination to support production, sales, and field operations. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring customers receive the right products on time.

The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist helps prevent delays, reduce costs, and improve reliability by ensuring inventory is well-managed and supply chains are efficient. Key Responsibilities
Source and procure parts and materials while negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery terms with suppliersCreate, manage, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillmentMaintain strong supplier relationships and resolve order or delivery issues as they ariseMonitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stockAnalyze purchasing trends and historical data to support forecasting and planningCoordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, and Accounting teams to resolve supply and logistics issuesSupport receiving, shipping, and inventory control processesAssist with inventory audits and ensure accurate recordkeepingHelp develop and improve purchasing and logistics processes and workflowsEnsure compliance with internal standards and applicable regulationsParticipate in ERP system usage and improvement, particularly around inventory and purchasing modulesApply practical problem-solving skills to address daily operational challengesAdditional Responsibilities (as needed)
Support receiving and processing of incoming parts and materialsAssist with shipping/receiving optimization and loss preventionOperate material handling equipment such as forklifts or trucks/trailers if requiredAssist with part deliveries or occasional field/customer site supportSupport product installations or service-related activities in the fieldQualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operationsStrong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience in manufacturing, fabrication, or agriculture-related industries strongly preferredWorking knowledge of inventory management and purchasing systemsStrong proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks) preferredAbility to read and understand technical or fabrication-related specifications is a plusHighly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departmentsValid driver’s license and willingness to support occasional field or logistics activitiesWhat We Offer
