Nebraska Cancer Specialists is the regional leader in cancer diagnosis, treatment and research and we are looking to add someone to our leadership team. We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator Lead who will assist the manager with operational tasks and provide coverage when needed. The lead will act as a liaison between providers, staff and patients.

Other duties:

  • Supporting leadership coverage by taking call-ins and assisting with day to day leadership.
  • Serves as an additional point of contact for staff questions, workflow issues and operational support.
  • Delegates tasks to team members appropriately.
  • Assists with the rollout of new initiatives, workflows and process improvements.
  • Provides coverage for staff in all roles in the information center and in clinic as needed.
  • Responds to and works to resolve concerns from patients, family members and referring offices.
  • Investigates and develops solutions for issues that arise.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelors in Management is preferred.
  • Experience as Scheduler/Receptionist/Secretary in a health care setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and multi-line phones is preferred.
