Job Description

The Great Northern is seeking a warm, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience from check-in to check-out. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-focused environment and enjoys providing exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a positive and friendly attitude

  • Handle the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately

  • Manage reservations and room assignments using the hotel’s property management system

  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints

  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest needs

  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

  • Uphold hotel policies and ensure guest satisfaction at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in using computers and hotel management software (PMS experience is a plus)

  • Ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and problem-solve effectively

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
