Accounting Specialist

Banko Overhead Doors is hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Tampa, Florida. What You’ll Do

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process and verify vendor invoices
• Match purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices
• Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile AP transactions and support month-end close
• Prepare and issue vendor payments (ACH, check, wire)

Collections / Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Resolve billing issues and payment disputes
• Maintain accurate records of communication and collection efforts
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service) to address concerns

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or collections
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP/accounting system) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
