Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance & Accounting team. This is a senior-level role responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processingEnsure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and expense reportsMaintain and reconcile vendor accounts; resolve discrepancies and inquiries professionallyPrepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, checks)Monitor cash flow requirements related to AP and support forecasting effortsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirementsAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reportingBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersIdentify opportunities for process improvements and help implement efficiencies and automationSupport audits by providing required documentation and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience (senior-level preferred)Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practicesExperience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience in manufacturing, CPG, or food/beverage environment is a plus
