The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview: The Manager of the Learning and Simulation Center will oversee simulation and lab activities at the School of Nursing's Oceanport location. Working closely with course faculty, lab instructors, and school leadership, the Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations and ensuring simulation activities align with curriculum goals. During the semester, the role is expected to serve in a lab faculty capacity (~70% of work week).
Qualifications:
- An MSN or MA in Nursing is required; a Doctorate preferred.
- NJ Nursing License is required.
- Two (2) years' patient care experience is required.
- Two (2) years of experience in Nursing Education in any setting required; waived for graduates with a Master's in Nursing Education.
- One (1) year of Simulation Lab experience is highly preferred.
- Certification in Simulation (CHSE) or Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred.
Essential Function: Supervises and evaluates the performance of the Laboratory instructors and staff of the Learning and Simulation Center. Completes the annual performance evaluation of the LSC faculty and staff. Designs learning simulation scenarios, evaluation tools and related materials in coordination with course faculty members based on expected course learning outcomes and program learning outcomes. Develops a positive learning environment in the Learning/Simulation Center by creating and overseeing individualized remediation plans, tutoring, nursing care plan, concept mapping, and medication administration and mentoring sessions. Collaborates with faculty and LSC instructors in planning and conducting simulation activities using the Nursing Education Simulation Framework2 and the Standards in Simulation at the RWJBH School of Nursing. Responsible for onboarding and continued professional development of new simulation lab faculty and technicians. Schedules LSC faculty and simulation technicians, ensuring adequate coverage. Adheres to the School of Nursing code of conduct.
