Real Estate Loan Processor in San Diego, California at MyPoint Credit Union

MyPoint Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented and service-focused Real Estate Loan Processor to join our Real Estate team.

In this role, you’ll support members throughout the real estate lending process while working closely with our lending team to help ensure loan applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable requirements. As a Real Estate Loan Processor, you will:

• Input new real estate loan applications into the credit union’s loan origination system.
• Verify employment, income, assets, and liabilities in accordance with credit union and secondary market guidelines.
• Assist with reviewing information used to determine applicants’ creditworthiness for real estate loans.
• Initiate the escrow process and obtain property title information through approved vendors.
• Prepare and distribute required loan disclosures to members and staff.
• Maintain accurate real estate loan application logs, pipeline reports, and funded loan files.
• Help ensure loan documentation and processing activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Protect the confidentiality of members’ personal and financial information.
• Follow applicable security and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and Customer Identification Program requirements.
• Assist with additional projects and assignments based on department needs.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Current Mortgage Loan Originator registration or the ability to obtain required registration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, employees, vendors, and other business partners.
• Working knowledge of regulations related to consumer and real estate lending.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
