Job Overview


The Customer Development Manager – Office Products, E-Commerce & Independents supports Lavazza's growth strategy across a diverse portfolio of customers and channels, including office products retailers, e-commerce platforms, independent retailers, and emerging commercial partners.

This role is ideal for an analytically minded business professional who enjoys solving problems, navigating ambiguity, and transforming insights into action. Working at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, and Strategy, the Customer Development Manager will identify growth opportunities, support customer planning, evaluate business performance, and help execute initiatives that expand Lavazza's market presence.

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution. Candidates may come from consulting, commercial strategy, business analytics, sales operations, or other growth-oriented functions where they have helped drive revenue, market share, or business transformation initiatives.

This position offers an accelerated path to developing broad commercial leadership capabilities within one of the world's leading coffee companies.

Work model: Hybrid, in-office 3 days / week


Job Responsibilities

Business Performance & Growth Analysis

  • Analyze sales performance, distribution trends, customer data, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities across Office Products, E-Commerce, and Independent channels.
  • Monitor business KPIs and develop actionable recommendations to improve sales performance, profitability, and market share.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools used to track commercial performance.
  • Translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Supply Chain, and external partners to support customer initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing customer presentations, business reviews, and commercial recommendations.
  • Partner with sales teams to develop customer-specific strategies, selling stories, and growth plans.
  • Support execution of key promotional programs, product launches, and channel initiatives.

Operational Execution & Project Leadership

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure initiatives remain on track across functions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and effectiveness across commercial operations.
  • Serve as a key problem-solver when navigating evolving business needs, competing priorities, or ambiguous situations.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitive activity, consumer trends, and channel developments.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations that help strengthen Lavazza's competitive position.
  • Support analyses related to assortment, pricing, promotion, distribution, and customer profitability.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Strategy, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in: Business Consulting, Commercial Strategy, Business Analytics, Sales Operations, Corporate Strategy.
  • Experience supporting sales growth, market share expansion, customer strategy, or commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and translating insights into business recommendations.
  • Familiarity with syndicated or retail sales data.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and business cases.
  • Exposure to digital commerce, marketplace analytics, or omnichannel retail environments.
  • Ability to structure problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions.
