This senior role will shape field medical training and strategic scientific content for customer-facing teams across the US.
You will lead programs that strengthen scientific excellence, therapeutic expertise, and effective customer engagement.
The position combines strategic content planning, training leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration in a complex healthcare environment.
You will help translate scientific data, disease landscapes, and real-world insights into impactful and compliant training and content strategies.
You will partner with medical, clinical, content, health economics, and field leadership teams to support evolving business and therapeutic priorities.
The role offers significant influence across onboarding, capability development, product launches, medical congresses, and ongoing field excellence.
This is a remote, field-based opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional who can connect scientific strategy with practical execution and inspire high-performing teams.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans for field medical teams, including scientific narratives, medical value statements, patient journeys, real-world scenarios, data interpretation, disease landscapes, FAQs, and other relevant materials.
  • Lead therapeutic onboarding for new Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), provide constructive feedback, and communicate development opportunities to leadership.
  • Coordinate with content development teams to plan and deliver preceptorships, immersion meetings, upskilling programs, and other educational experiences.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and capability development for disease-area, launch, and digital-engagement field medical teams.
  • Identify capability gaps and lead initiatives that strengthen both individual team competencies and broader field medical capabilities.
  • Partner with medical excellence teams to incorporate scientific engagement skills, effective communication techniques, and scientific storytelling into training programs.
  • Collaborate with field medical leadership to plan and facilitate debriefs and training sessions associated with major medical congresses.
  • Lead training sessions during internal franchise meetings and other strategic organizational forums.
  • Conduct field visits, as appropriate, to evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovative learning approaches to enhance training delivery and information dissemination.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to identify field-team needs and develop disease-state and scientific content strategies across the product lifecycle, from pre-approval through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Provide strategic input to content creators, health economics and outcomes research teams, and clinical groups to ensure materials enable high-quality, compliant scientific discussions.
  • Ensure approved content and tools are available to field teams and provide clear, compliant guidance aligned with field medical priorities.
  • Continuously identify innovative approaches to simplify, improve, and enhance medical tools and content.
  • Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously while maintaining strong prioritization, organization, compliance, and execution standards.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree required; a doctoral degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with field medical experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical-industry compliance requirements, including FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and relevant internal policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize competing initiatives, and execute strategic plans effectively.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with scientific and clinical professionals across varying levels of expertise.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • High personal integrity, strong customer focus, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork and influence.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and translate strategic objectives into practical implementation plans.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research practices is preferred.
  • Experience or working knowledge across multiple therapeutic or disease areas is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the US healthcare system and managed markets is preferred.
  • Experience developing scientific or medical content, medical education programs, or field medical capabilities is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with medical, clinical, content, health economics, and field leadership stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the US as required by the role.
Benefits:
  • Annual salary: $204,400–$379,600, with final compensation determined by relevant skills, experience, and other applicable factors.
  • Performance-based cash incentive opportunity.
  • Eligibility for annual equity awards, depending on role level.
  • Comprehensive health, life, and disability benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution and matching.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, personal days, holidays, and other applicable leave.
  • Fully remote, field-based work opportunity within the United States.
  • Opportunity to lead high-impact field medical training and strategic content initiatives.
  • Exposure to scientific, clinical, medical, and commercial stakeholders across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Opportunity to influence capability development, product lifecycle strategies, and customer-facing scientific engagement.
  • Up to 25% travel, with the flexibility to work remotely when not traveling.
