Quality Inspector in Anoka, Minnesota at TSI Plastics Inc

TSI Plastics is a precision plastics manufacturer certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. We produce high-tolerance molded components for customers who depend on consistent, verifiable quality. We are seeking a Quality Inspector to perform and document visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured product. This position is responsible for maintaining our quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), inspection methodologies, and precision measurement equipment
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines
• Sound problem-solving skills for both routine and complex issues
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, customers, and suppliers
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred:

• Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection and programming experience
• JobBoss experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, perform, and document receiving, in-process, final, and first article inspections to customer designs, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Perform visual and dimensional measurements using hand-held and fixture-held equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and pin, ring, and plug gages
• Operate computer-assisted inspection equipment, including a CMM, articulating arm, and vision measuring machine
• Review inspection results for compliance and take appropriate action when discrepancies are identified
• Maintain the integrity of inspection equipment through correct use, handling, storage, and reporting
• Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the quality system

Work Environment

This position is based in the quality lab. It requires standing and walking for extended periods, handling precision parts and equipment, and lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toed shoes, is required on the production floor.
