Join Our Team: Substitute School-Based Behavior Technician / Classroom Aid- PAID TRAINING

Looking for meaningful work that fits your schedule? Do you enjoy working with children and have a natural talent for providing patience, flexibility, and support? We are looking for Substitute - FLOATER Classroom Aide / Behavior Technician (BI) to join our team and provide flexible coverage for students throughout the greater Los Angeles area (East/ West/ South LA mainly). This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work a few days per week, pick up additional shifts when available, or maintain a more flexible schedule while making a positive impact in the lives of children and families.

We are a dedicated team providing effective, empirically validated educational and ABA services to students with different needs. Our services are provided in school and home settings, with an emphasis on individualized, compassionate support.

What You’ll Do – Not Limited to the Following:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students throughout the school day when covering for regularly assigned staff.
  • Support students in participating in classroom activities, academic tasks, transitions, recess, and other school activities.
  • Build positive rapport with students and work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and supervisors.
  • Assist with academic and developmental activities and collect data as directed.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and calmly redirect challenging behaviors using training provided and supervisor guidance.
  • Provide coverage at different school locations and with different students based on staffing needs.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicate appropriately with supervisors and school staff regarding student needs and daily activities.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Opportunities to work a few days per week and pick up additional shifts based on availability and staffing needs. USUALLY 8AM-3:30PM

  • Paid Drive Time & Mileage: Paid drive time and mileage between clients, as applicable.
Requirements: Qualifications We’re Looking For:
  • Associate’s degree / 2 years of college required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with insurance required.
  • Previous experience working with children, individuals with autism, special needs, education, childcare, behavioral services, or related fields preferred but not required.
  • Must be comfortable working with diverse ages and behaviors, including severe cases and self-injurious behaviors.
  • Strong desire to make a difference and a willingness to learn.
Schedule:

This is a substitute/floater position with a flexible schedule. Scheduling will vary based on school coverage needs and your availability.

Ideal for candidates who are available a few days per week and would like the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available.
