Job Description

Regional Account Manager-Public Sector

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Account Manager-Public Sector based in Canada.

This is a field sales opportunity focused on driving growth across a defined portfolio of public sector accounts and a broader regional territory. You will own the sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through forecasting, pipeline management, and closing. The role combines strategic account planning with hands-on engagement with customers, technology partners, and reseller networks. You will build trusted relationships with public sector stakeholders while identifying opportunities to expand existing business and develop new revenue streams. Success requires strong commercial judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to communicate technical value clearly to different audiences. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated B2B technology sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute account plans for an assigned portfolio of public sector customers while contributing to growth across the broader territory.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and activity targets, maintaining accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasts.
  • Build and maintain a consistent sales pipeline through account development, inbound lead follow-up, outbound prospecting, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with customers and partners to identify new opportunities, strengthen relationships, and grow existing accounts.
  • Manage sales opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and close.
  • Establish strong credibility with customers and provide appropriate presales support, presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions.
  • Create, track, and maintain sales opportunities, renewals, deal registrations, quotes, and related activities in Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems.
  • Work closely with channel account teams and reseller partners to develop opportunities, increase revenue, and strengthen partner performance within the public sector segment.
  • Respond promptly to customer satisfaction issues, requests, and commercial requirements, coordinating with internal teams when necessary.
  • Lead customer presentations and product demonstrations through online and in-person channels.
  • Analyze active opportunities, monitor pipeline health, and provide accurate reporting on supported sales activities.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and progression of opportunities.
  • Participate actively in team enablement, forecasting sessions, partner updates, sales initiatives, and recognition activities.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of field sales experience in the B2B technology sector, preferably within a customer-facing territory sales environment.
  • Working knowledge of the businesses, customers, partners, and commercial dynamics within the local territory.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, revenue targets, and activity metrics.
  • Experience managing sales cycles from initial prospecting through negotiation, closing, and account expansion.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external business processes associated with technology sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and accurately forecast an individual sales quota and maintain a healthy revenue pipeline.
  • Experience conducting productive customer- and partner-facing meetings, with strong and timely written follow-up.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a diverse, high-volume workload while maintaining strong organization and prioritization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong time and activity management skills, with a disciplined approach to sales execution.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and ability to identify opportunities in a competitive and fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to close business while maintaining a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and standard business technology tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; MBA is preferred.
  • Professional, collaborative approach aligned with high standards of integrity and customer service.
Benefits
  • Competitive total rewards package designed to support overall health and financial well-being.
  • Supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunity to work within the public sector technology and cybersecurity market.
  • Exposure to customers, technology partners, reseller networks, and diverse business stakeholders.
  • Career development opportunities within a growing global technology organization.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to business growth and customer outcomes.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity and equal employment opportunities.
  • Reasonable accommodations available throughout the recruitment process for qualified candidates with disabilities.
