Job Description

Senior Content Marketing Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager based in Canada.

This is a senior content marketing leadership role within a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment, focused on turning content into measurable business impact.
You will own the content strategy and oversee production across multiple formats, channels, and stages of the buyer journey.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, from developing original research and thought leadership to creating campaigns, webinars, case studies, and social content.
You will collaborate closely with Growth, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams to align content with broader company priorities.
Success will be measured through meaningful metrics including traffic, conversions, pipeline contribution, and revenue.
You will also mentor and guide internal contributors while managing freelancers, agencies, and industry partners to maintain a high creative and editorial standard.
This is a remote-first opportunity for candidates located in British Columbia or Ontario, with flexibility to work from home or designated coworking spaces.

Accountabilities
  • Own and evolve a comprehensive B2B content strategy designed to increase audience awareness, purchase intent, customer loyalty, and measurable business results.
  • Lead the end-to-end content lifecycle, including strategy, planning, production, distribution, promotion, and optimization across multiple formats and channels.
  • Develop a diverse content portfolio spanning short-form video, original research, case studies, webinars, conference presentations, social content, thought leadership, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Growth, Product, Sales, Customer Success, People, and other internal teams to identify content opportunities and support broader marketing and company objectives.
  • Strengthen thought leadership and market positioning by providing strategic guidance on relevant topics, formats, messaging, and distribution approaches.
  • Manage and develop internal team members, providing direction, coaching, feedback, and mentorship while maintaining a high standard of content quality.
  • Coordinate relationships with freelancers, agencies, industry experts, and other external partners, ensuring projects remain aligned with strategic objectives and quality expectations.
  • Oversee content distribution across paid and owned channels, identifying opportunities to expand reach, engagement, and market presence.
  • Establish and monitor content marketing KPIs, analyzing metrics such as web traffic, conversions, pipeline contribution, and closed-won revenue.
  • Use performance insights, audience feedback, and market trends to continuously optimize content strategy and demonstrate business impact.
  • Manage complex, long-term strategic initiatives alongside a steady flow of smaller content requests, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Serve as a player-coach who combines strategic leadership with hands-on writing, editing, creative development, project management, and content production.
Requirements
  • Bring 5–8 years of experience developing and executing effective content marketing strategies, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrate strong writing, copyediting, storytelling, and creative production skills, supported by a portfolio showcasing work across multiple formats and channels.
  • Have a strong understanding of how content supports the B2B SaaS buyer journey, from awareness and consideration through conversion, retention, and advocacy.
  • Possess experience producing and promoting content designed to generate measurable business outcomes, including traffic, engagement, conversions, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and people-management capabilities, with the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to content professionals and contributors.
  • Be comfortable directing both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining editorial consistency, quality, and strategic alignment.
  • Have experience managing content distribution across a range of paid and owned channels and understanding how to maximize the impact of different content formats.
  • Bring strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex strategic programs, long-term initiatives, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate analytical proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console, with the ability to connect content performance to broader marketing and business outcomes.
  • Have excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work effectively with senior stakeholders across marketing, product, sales, and customer-facing functions.
  • Be highly organized, proactive, creative, and execution-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a remote-first environment.
  • Bring curiosity, humor, and creativity to your work, with a willingness to experiment and find engaging ways to make content memorable for its audience.
  • Be based in British Columbia or Ontario, Canada, and comfortable collaborating asynchronously with distributed teams across North America, Europe, and India.
Benefits
  • Base compensation of CA$110,300–CA$147,000, with eligibility for equity.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from home.
  • Access to flexible coworking locations in Toronto and Vancouver for eligible employees.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits beginning on day one.
  • Monthly phone and internet subsidy.
  • Work-from-home budget and company-provided MacBook.
  • Dedicated professional mastery and learning allowance to support career development and skill growth.
  • Ongoing manager support, regular one-on-ones, and structured performance and development conversations.
  • Supportive remote culture with town halls, AMAs, quarterly celebrations, and opportunities for team connection.
  • Employee Resource Groups providing opportunities for community, learning, and connection.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact within an award-winning workplace and a growing B2B SaaS organization.
  • Flexible collaboration practices, including asynchronous work, core sync hours, and dedicated focus time.
