This role sits at the core of a large-scale, data-driven supply chain ecosystem, where fragmented operational data is transformed into a trusted single source of truth for critical business decisions. You will act as a key technical reference, bridging engineering and business needs while designing robust data models that support logistics, planning, and production at scale. The environment is highly collaborative and analytical, requiring strong ownership of data architecture, performance, and reliability. You will contribute directly to the evolution of modern data platforms, ensuring high-quality, well-structured, and cost-efficient data assets. This is a senior technical role with mentorship responsibilities, shaping best practices and elevating the analytical maturity of the team. Your work will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and decision-making across a complex supply chain network.
- Lead technical guidance and mentorship for analysts and engineers, promoting best practices, conducting code reviews, and raising the team’s analytical maturity.
- Design and maintain scalable data models in BigQuery, translating complex supply chain and business rules into efficient dimensional structures.
- Build and enforce a strong data engineering culture using dbt for testing, documentation, and data quality monitoring.
- Partner closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements, diagnose operational challenges, and propose end-to-end data solutions.
- Optimize data pipelines and SQL queries to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across large datasets.
- Develop and maintain automated data workflows using Python and orchestration tools such as Airflow or equivalents.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering practices, including Git versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and structured code reviews.
- Support agile delivery practices, ensuring continuous and predictable value delivery across data initiatives.
- Strong experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer focused on analytical data modeling.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries, window functions, and performance optimization in Google BigQuery.
- Solid experience in dimensional modeling and data lakehouse architectures for analytical consumption.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data pipelines, and analytical processing.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and modern cloud-based data environments.
- Experience with Airflow or similar tools for orchestration and workflow management.
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including Git, CI/CD, and code reviews.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and translate business needs into precise technical solutions.
- Experience working in agile environments with iterative delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
- Nice to have: experience with APIs, retail or supply chain data, Looker/Tableau, GenAI tools, and FinOps optimization.
