Job Description

Senior Data Developer (AWS)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Developer (AWS) in Brazil.

In this role, you will help build the foundational data ecosystem for a greenfield, AI-driven agronomic platform, where data quality and architecture directly determine the success of advanced analytics and geospatial intelligence. You will operate in a highly collaborative, client-facing environment, working closely with technical leadership to design scalable, cloud-native data solutions. The position requires strong ownership, as you will be shaping pipelines and data models from the ground up rather than maintaining legacy systems. Your work will enable AI applications and map-based visualizations that support critical agribusiness decisions. You will design end-to-end data flows across large-scale, heterogeneous datasets in AWS environments. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys architectural challenges, and wants to influence strategic technical decisions. It combines deep data engineering expertise with high-impact product thinking in a fast-evolving environment.

Accountabilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines across RAW, Silver, and Gold layers using Medallion Architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across all stages of data processing
  • Architect ingestion, transformation, and serving workflows, integrating heterogeneous data sources into structured and analytics-ready datasets for BI and AI use cases
  • Develop and optimize data models using Data Warehouse best practices, including Star Schema and dimensional modeling for analytical consumption
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including services such as S3, IAM, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue, ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective data operations
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using GitLab, including branching strategies, automated testing, and release processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture decisions and validate data availability and quality
  • Support AI and ML initiatives by providing structured, high-quality datasets optimized for downstream model consumption and geospatial applications
  • Identify and integrate new data sources, ensuring consistency, traceability, and readiness for analytical and operational use
Requirements
  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer working with large-scale data platforms and cloud-based architectures
  • Advanced hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, and IAM, with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs
  • Solid proficiency in SQL for complex queries, performance optimization, and analytical transformations in data warehouse environments
  • Strong experience with PySpark for distributed data processing, including partitioning strategies and performance tuning for high-volume datasets
  • Practical experience with Databricks in data engineering and lakehouse architectures
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse modeling, including Star Schema and dimensional modeling techniques
  • Experience implementing Medallion Architecture and working with formats such as Parquet and CSV
  • Proficiency with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
  • Ability to work in greenfield environments with ambiguity, strong ownership, and architectural contribution mindset
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with ability to communicate clearly in technical discussions
Benefits
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Meal and food allowance
  • Childcare assistance
  • Extended paternity leave
  • Gym and wellness partnerships (Wellhub / TotalPass)
  • Profit sharing and performance bonuses (PLR)
  • Life insurance
  • Continuous learning platforms and professional development programs
  • Language learning support
  • Mental, physical, and well-being support platforms
  • Discounts and corporate benefits club
  • Inclusion and accessibility support programs
