This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Brazil.
This role sits at the core of a fast-growing data-driven organization, responsible for building and evolving the data foundation that powers business decisions and analytics at scale. You will design and maintain robust, high-performance data pipelines that ensure reliability, governance, and accessibility across multiple domains. Working in a modern cloud-based environment, you will contribute to architectural decisions and help shape scalable Lakehouse-style data platforms. The position requires close collaboration with analytics engineers and data analysts to ensure data models are consistent, reusable, and aligned with business needs. You will also play a key role in improving data quality, observability, and operational excellence across the entire data ecosystem. This is a highly technical and impactful role where your work directly enables product innovation, business insights, and organizational growth. You will also act as a technical reference point, supporting best practices and raising engineering standards within the team.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines ensuring performance, integrity, and availability.
- Manage ingestion, transformation, and integration of structured and unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Contribute to the evolution of modern data architectures, including Lakehouse and distributed processing environments.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and new product development with strong governance.
- Collaborate with analytics engineers and data analysts to build consistent, reusable, and high-quality data models.
- Ensure data quality, traceability, and reliability across all analytical datasets consumed by the business.
- Implement monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting mechanisms for data pipelines and workflows.
- Apply engineering best practices including testing, versioning, documentation, and CI/CD for data workflows.
- Act as a technical reference, supporting team members and contributing to engineering standards and practices.
Requirements:
- Solid experience in data engineering, working with relational and non-relational databases in production environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data manipulation, processing, and pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse architectures.
- Proven ability to design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Strong analytical mindset with ownership attitude and focus on delivering results.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in agile and fast-paced environments.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
