Program Manager, Managed Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager, Managed Services based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead cybersecurity and compliance programs for organizations navigating complex regulatory environments.
You will design, manage, and improve scalable compliance initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across technology, security, and business teams.
The position combines program management expertise, security knowledge, and consulting skills to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
You will guide organizations through compliance frameworks, risk management activities, and operational improvements.
Working with experienced security professionals, you will help customers build sustainable programs that strengthen governance and resilience.

Accountabilities:

The Program Manager, Managed Services will oversee the delivery of cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor to customers while managing projects, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement efforts. The role requires strong organizational skills, consulting capabilities, and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical business solutions.

  • Assess customer compliance maturity and design scalable security and compliance programs aligned with organizational goals, resources, and risk tolerance.
  • Develop foundational program materials including governance structures, policies, procedures, compliance calendars, inventories, scope definitions, and documentation frameworks.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of compliance initiatives using adaptable project management methodologies.
  • Manage project schedules, work breakdown structures, responsibility matrices, risk logs, and stakeholder communications across multiple customer environments.
  • Own annual compliance cycles, including assessments, evidence collection, remediation tracking, documentation management, and reporting.
  • Serve as a primary customer contact, ensuring successful delivery, clear communication, and strong client relationships.
  • Train and coach customer teams to develop internal capabilities and support long-term program independence.
  • Create customer-facing resources such as playbooks, templates, procedures, and operational guides.
  • Support virtual information security officer engagements by contributing to policies, risk assessments, remediation plans, and governance materials.
  • Translate security findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist with third-party risk reviews, incident response planning, and security exercise activities.
  • Collaborate with security specialists and internal teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to service improvements, methodology development, customer renewals, and managed services growth initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced program or project management professional with knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, and stakeholder management. They should be comfortable leading customer engagements, influencing teams without direct authority, and communicating effectively with both technical and executive audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, IT compliance, information security, IT governance, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end security or compliance programs.
  • Experience working with major compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GLBA, HIPAA, or similar standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent customer engagements, including schedules, priorities, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience communicating at executive and operational levels.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, self-directed approach.
  • Experience using project management and productivity tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to obtain the PCIP (PCI Professional) credential within 12 months of hire.
  • PMP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Preferred experience includes higher education environments, consulting services, cybersecurity program development, GRC platforms, and certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CRISC.
