Ecosystem Business Development Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Ecosystem Business Development Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale strategic partnerships with leading technology ecosystems and hyperscaler platforms.
You will be responsible for creating new growth channels by developing marketplace strategies, partner relationships, and co-selling motions from the ground up.
The position sits at the intersection of business development, alliances, and go-to-market execution, working closely with global technology partners.
You will have high visibility and autonomy, shaping how the organization expands into new ecosystems and generates sustainable pipeline growth.
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to transform early partnerships into repeatable revenue opportunities.
You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to create impactful partner programs that accelerate business growth.

Accountabilities:

As an Ecosystem Business Development Manager, you will own the strategy and execution of new ecosystem partnerships, helping establish marketplace presence and build scalable partner-driven growth channels. You will work closely with hyperscaler teams, services partners, and internal stakeholders to create opportunities that expand market reach and drive measurable business results.

  • Lead the activation of new hyperscaler and technology platform ecosystems, building relationships, programs, and go-to-market strategies from the beginning.
  • Manage marketplace onboarding and commercialization processes, including listings, private offers, and participation in co-sell programs.
  • Develop joint go-to-market motions with ecosystem owners, identifying programs, incentives, and sales opportunities that generate qualified pipeline.
  • Recruit and activate services partners to expand ecosystem reach and create additional sales and delivery opportunities.
  • Define, measure, and report partner-generated and partner-influenced pipeline metrics to leadership.
  • Establish operating rhythms, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking processes as ecosystems mature.
  • Collaborate with account executives, sales engineers, marketing, product, and engineering teams to create campaigns, enablement materials, and technical priorities.
  • Represent the organization at partner events, industry programs, and ecosystem initiatives to increase visibility and strengthen relationships.
  • Use AI-powered tools to improve partner research, prospect prioritization, content creation, and pipeline management.
  • Continuously evaluate ecosystem trends and identify opportunities to accelerate growth through strategic partnerships.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced business development professional with a strong background in B2B SaaS partnerships and ecosystem growth. You should be comfortable building new relationships from scratch, operating autonomously, and creating structured partnership programs that deliver measurable business impact.

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, channel management, or partner programs within B2B SaaS.
  • Hands-on experience building or managing hyperscaler relationships, such as AWS Marketplace, Microsoft Partner Center, AppSource, or similar ecosystem programs.
  • Proven success launching new partner relationships and creating repeatable partnership strategies from the ground up.
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities, engage stakeholders, and convert conversations into structured initiatives.
  • Experience working with services partners and building trust with new external organizations.
  • Data-driven approach to partnerships, including defining KPIs, tracking pipeline, and communicating results to leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex ecosystem programs into clear actions for internal teams.
  • Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor with strong ownership, organization, and strategic thinking.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience launching or scaling marketplace and co-sell programs for enterprise SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software categories such as project management, IT service management, or portfolio management solutions.
  • Existing relationships within AWS, Microsoft, or other hyperscaler partner ecosystems.
  • Experience working in high-growth, venture-backed, or private equity-backed SaaS environments.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support research, reporting, and business development workflows.
  • Ability to balance automation with strong relationship-building and human engagement.
Benefits:
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility.
  • Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and savings plans.
  • Unlimited vacation in most locations.
  • Work-from-home reimbursement and additional employee perks.
  • Training and professional development reimbursement.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact by building a new strategic growth channel.
  • Collaboration with global teams in a diverse and dynamic environment.
  • Optional in-person meetups and opportunities to travel to international offices.
  • Employee referral program.
  • A culture focused on innovation, autonomy, and continuous development.
