Opportunities available in the heart of Dallas

We are seeking a Referral Coordinator with a passion for service excellence to join our team in the Mesquite area. As part of the team, you will help expand our impact on the community by providing access to high quality, compassionate health care. The Referral Coordinator is responsible for processing medical, dental, and specialty referrals; as well as PAP applications for patients of HHM Health.

Location: 4550 Gus Thomasson Rd, Ste. 40, Mesquite, TX 75150 (100% On-site role)

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

  • Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety
  • Update providers on issues or concerns regarding referrals and communicate directly with patients and providers.
  • Works with insurance companies and care providers to share essential patient information and assists primarily in scheduling appointments and managing health insurance issues
  • Connect reports to patient charts and notify provider of results
  • Communicates with patients to complete referral process
  • Work and track outgoing referrals by urgency and requested timeline
  • Share your expertise and best practices to help us become the provider of choice

What you need to succeed

To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, be a self-starter, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Referral Coordinator or similar in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in community health centers and/or non-profits is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in ahigh volume environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar and MS Office Suite skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or any other languages
  • Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
