Kids Help Phone Foundation is seeking a Manager, Annual Giving & Digital to help inspire generosity and raise funds across Canada to deliver on KHP’s promise to youth.

The Manager, Annual Giving & Digital leads Kids Help Phone’s annual giving program with a strong emphasis on digital fundraising growth. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of more than $3 million and ensuring the program remains on track to achieve its strong growth goals as part of the KHP 2030 plan. The role develops donor-centred strategies across digital channels, supported by direct mail, monthly giving, telemarketing, and tribute giving, to grow revenue, strengthen retention, and expand donor engagement. The Manager oversees campaign execution, monitors results against revenue and expense targets, and is accountable for achieving annual fundraising goals. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, this role also provides leadership to supporting staff and helps advance Kids Help Phone’s mission through effective, data-informed fundraising. The responsibilities

  • Drive Digital Fundraising Growth: Lead digital fundraising growth across email, online campaigns, SMS, peer-to-peer, paid media, and emerging platforms. Use testing and optimization to improve acquisition, retention, and revenue.
  • Lead Multi-Channel Strategy: Support the development of the annual giving strategy across digital, direct mail, monthly giving, telemarketing, and tribute giving.
  • Lead Campaign Planning and Execution: Plan and deliver annual giving campaigns from brief to launch. Oversee messaging, creative, segmentation, timelines, and execution to ensure campaigns are effective and delivered on schedule.
  • Manage Budget and Performance Targets: Manage the annual giving budget, revenue forecasts, and performance targets. Track results and optimize plans as needed to meet goals.
  • Lead Analysis and Reporting: Analyze campaign results and trends to identify insights and improve future performance. Prepare clear reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Strengthen Donor Engagement and Stewardship: Support the systems and communications that steward and cultivate annual giving audiences at scale. Ensure donor journeys and touchpoints are timely, coordinated, and donor centred.
  • Provide Team Leadership and Collaboration: Supervise and coach 3 staff, set clear expectations, priorities and develop a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Manage Vendors and Key Partners: Oversee and build relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure strong delivery, clear communication, and value for investment.
  • Audience Segmentation & Campaign Optimization: Own audience and segmentation matrices, partnering with Operations team and external vendors to ensure data-driven targeting approaches, rigorous testing strategies, accurate audience selection, optimized list strategy, and donor record integrity to maximize campaign performance.
  • In partnership with Director, Annual Giving & Operations, lead the digital fundraising strategy to increase individual giving revenue through online donor renewal and retention, acquiring, converting or upgrading monthly donors, and new donor recruitment
  • Work with the broader team to ensure that all digital fundraising efforts are fully integrated across Events and Stewardship teams. Ensure messaging and experiences are cohesive, brand-aligned, and impactful across all donor touchpoints
  • Provide support and expertise to the planning and execution of the digital fundraising component of BMO Walk so Kids can Talk.

The qualifications

  • Fundraising Experience: 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including multi-channel direct response across digital, direct mail, and telemarketing. Proven success in developing and delivering mass fundraising strategies.
  • Education: Postsecondary degree or diploma in fundraising, marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strategic and Analytical Strength: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to set priorities, build plans, manage budgets, and use data to guide decisions.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Experience leading projects, supervising staff or volunteers, and working effectively with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Donor-Centred Approach: Strong judgement and a service-oriented approach to donor communications and experience.
  • Project and Time Management: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovation and Initiative: Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable testing new ideas to improve results.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office and fundraising CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge NXT. Strong experience with email marketing tools, online donation platforms, Google Analytics, paid advertising and skilled in campaign segmentation, automation, website landing page development, A/B testing
  • Compliance and Screening: Ability to meet organizational screening requirements, including a Vulnerable Sector Check and Police Reference Check before start.
  • Additional Strengths: Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to data-informed fundraising and Kids Help Phone’s mission.
