Job Description

Designer UI/UX

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UI/UX Designer based in Canada.

This UI/UX Designer role focuses on shaping digital products that are not only functional but genuinely enjoyable to use. You will be involved across the full product design lifecycle, from early discovery and user research through to high-fidelity interface design and delivery. The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on design execution, ensuring that user needs and business goals are translated into intuitive and visually refined experiences. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to build coherent and scalable digital solutions. A strong emphasis is placed on accessibility, usability, and design consistency across systems. This is a highly collaborative environment where curiosity, autonomy, and craft excellence are deeply valued.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct user research activities such as interviews, workshops, usability testing, and heuristic audits to understand user needs and product goals
  • Translate insights into structured design outputs including personas, user journeys, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
  • Design intuitive and accessible user experiences that balance user needs with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems in Figma, including components, tokens, styles, and documentation
  • Create visually consistent interfaces aligned with brand strategy and usability best practices
  • Plan and run usability testing sessions, analyze feedback, and iterate designs accordingly
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and smooth design implementation
  • Document design decisions and clearly communicate rationale based on user data and project objectives
  • Support project estimation, pitches, and business development activities when needed
  • Continuously improve design processes and integrate modern tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and quality
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience in UX/UI or product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating both research-driven decisions and high-quality visual execution
  • Strong experience in user research methodologies including interviews, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, variables, and design systems
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles such as typography, spacing, hierarchy, and color theory
  • Experience designing for digital products, ideally enterprise software or complex systems
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and ability to design inclusive digital experiences
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus for improved collaboration with development teams
  • Interest in AI tools and their application in design workflows and product innovation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to defend and articulate design decisions
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required
Benefits:
  • Strong and people-first company culture focused on collaboration, well-being, and long-term sustainability
  • Flexible working hours with fully remote-friendly collaboration and virtual meetings
  • 5 weeks of paid vacation, including fixed holiday closure during the end-of-year period
  • Unlimited sick leave and generous time-off policies
  • Health insurance coverage including telemedicine services
  • Monthly allowances for personal and professional expenses
  • Regular team-building activities and collaborative initiatives
  • Provided work equipment and onboarding support for remote employees
  • Access to a supportive, low-bureaucracy environment where autonomy is encouraged
