Job Description
NOTE: Must be 21 years of age or older if required to drive as an essential function of this volunteer position due to rental car requirements.
All accepted candidates will be required to complete a background and motor vehicle screening.JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for hosting key corporate and individual donors at National FFA convention. A team of eight to ten college or graduate-level students will work with high level donors to ensure they have a positive experience while attending National FFA convention.
Note: it is not a requirement to be an active college student; the host position is also open to individuals with FFA experience who are currently working in ag-related jobs or internships and have been active with FFA within the past four years.
Duties might include but are not limited to: chauffeuring donors to and from the airport and to various convention locations; providing tours of FFA convention facilities, such as the convention center, the fieldhouse and the stadium, and the fairgrounds; explaining various competitive events; assisting FFA staff with Foundation events; and escorting guests to convention general sessions. The ideal candidate would exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and have a sound understanding and knowledge base of the activities that happen at National FFA convention.
Travel expenses to and from convention will be covered as well as food and lodging. Hosts should plan to arrive in Indianapolis by the Monday afternoon prior to convention and assist with Foundation-related tasks through Friday of convention week.

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma required\
- Some college or work/internship experience in the ag industry preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- FFA experience required
- State FFA officer experience preferred
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry or agricultural education a plus.
- Experience with youth-based and/or alumni membership organizations a plus.
