About This Position
OVERVIEW
The Event Experience Education Manager leads the creation and management of high-impact content for PLTW events. This role works to align PLTW event strategy and PLTW's approach to professional development, while supporting a range of activities related to preparation and delivery of excellent content through PLTW events. Frequent travel required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads overall agenda and educational program design and development for PLTW events and conferences, including virtual events. Incorporates customer insight, industry best practice, and team expertise in program design.
- Manages general session program development and execution for PLTW conferences. Identifies, recruits, secures, and prepares speakers. Leads script development. Manages run-of-show in collaboration with event production.
- Leads conference workshop agenda development, from managing the call for proposals to event execution. Collaborates with internal teams on PLTW, partner, and sponsor generated content, and consults on other content-driven experiences such as business and industry connections and school visits.
- Leads virtual event agenda, from drafting run of show to event execution. Collaborates with internal teams in developing content, timing and speakers. Serves as the point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manages speaker and workshop presenter communications and collects and distributes resources for conference speaker, workshop presenters, and webinars. Collaborates with other team members on key tactics to support overall event experience.
- Works cross-functionally to identify key drivers and opportunities to improve in-person and digital event education experiences.
- Contributes to the broad range of resources and experiences that comprise the PLTW educator's learning journey, including workshop content development and review, sales and marketing events (workshop sessions, exhibits, digital events, etc.), facilitator development, training models and resources, and state licensure or continuing education credit work.
- Develops a process to plan, create, and deliver PLTW content through events to PreK-12 educators and manages the process documents.
- Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design/education, communications, organization leadership/management or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience.
