Head of Sales Governance and Enablement

About Us
At Macquarie Cloud Services, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to be Australia’s #1 Great Place to Work in Technology for 2026, Australia’s #1 Great Place to Work for two consecutive years, and Great Place to Work Certified for three years running.

Macquarie Cloud Services are the Australian specialists in cloud services for business and government. Locally owned and operated, with an industry-leading customer service model, we’re trusted by our customers to provide the services that enable their business success.

We have made it our challenge to make our people feel good and love the work they do. Because of this, our people are energised and motivated in their work.

The Opportunity.

Macquarie Cloud Services is looking for a commercially minded Head of Sales Governance and Enablement to help mature the way our sales organisation uses data, governance and performance insights to run the business.

Following a significant investment in the maturity of our sales operating model, Macquarie Cloud Services is entering the next phase of growth and optimisation. This role will build on that investment by strengthening the frameworks, processes and data that underpin sales performance, ensuring leaders have access to consistent, reliable insights that drive informed decision-making and continued commercial success.

This is a strategic commercial operations role, not an ad hoc reporting, administration, BI development or data engineering position. We are looking for someone who can spot opportunities to improve performance, use data to understand what is happening, partner with sales leaders to drive change, and clearly demonstrate the impact.

Why Us?
  • Australia's #1 Great Place To Work in Technology, 2026.
  • We have been awarded Australia's #1 Great Place to Work 2025 for the second year running!
  • We're Great Place to Work Certified 2023, 2024 and 2025.
  • For the third year in a row, we have been named a Global Winner of the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award!
  • We're the #1 Managed Services Cloud business in Australia.
  • We have the highest Net Promoter Score on the ASX, the World's best customer experience & crowned in 2020 at the World Communications Awards.
  • You’ll make an impact: Enjoy being part of a driven team with a collaborative culture that values decision-makers and action.
  • We Invest in you: Accelerate your career through our learning and development opportunities - think Gallup strengths-based training, defined career pathways and fantastic internal mobility opportunities across the group.
About You.

You are commercially sharp, influential and confident working with sales leaders in a fast-moving technology environment. You understand that strong sales operations is not just about reporting; it is about setting clear standards, creating reliable operating rhythms and using evidence to help leaders make better decisions and lift performance. You are comfortable working with data, but your real strength is turning insight into action through stakeholder trust, strategic thinking and disciplined follow-through.

You may come from Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Compliance within banking, insurance or other regulated industries, Business/ Commercial Analysis, Business Analysis or FP&A. What matters most is that you can bridge commercial context and data, turn messy problems into clear frameworks, and work with stakeholders to lift sales performance.

Who would enjoy this role.
  • Someone who can partner with sales leaders, understand what is happening in the field and translate that into clear measures, actions and operating rhythms that improve sales performance.
  • Someone who enjoys solving business performance problems, bringing structure to ambiguity and building practical frameworks across sales, data, commercial performance and business operations.
  • Someone who gets energy from improving data quality, reporting confidence and the way sales leaders access insight, using tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, Excel and other sales operations platforms to create clearer, more reliable ways of working.
Required Skills.
  • Experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Analysis, FP&A, Governance, Compliance or a similar commercial performance role, ideally within a sales-led or regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, process ownership, metric definitions, documentation, reporting confidence and the operating rhythms needed to support a high-performing sales function.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity by building clear frameworks around ownership, accountability, definitions, measures and decision-making across sales and commercial operations.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance, pipeline, forecast discipline, sales methodology, activity measures, conversion metrics and commercial KPIs.
  • Comfortable working with CRM and reporting environments as a strong business user, with the ability to define requirements, interrogate outputs, challenge assumptions and ensure reporting is trusted by the business.
  • Proven ability to identify business performance problems, understand the root cause, work with stakeholders to drive change and show what improved.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence sales leaders and hold constructive conversations around governance, accountability, performance and data quality.
  • Experience building more mature operating models, processes, documentation, controls, measures or governance rhythms in a growing or changing environment.
  • Experience in technology, cloud, telecommunications, managed services, SaaS, banking, insurance or other complex B2B or regulated environments would be highly regarded.
If this excites you, apply now, we'd love to hear from you!
