Job Description
StackTeck, with over five decades of mold building innovation, is a leading source of high productivity tooling solutions for the injection molding industry. StackTeck supplies a wide range of injection molds and IML automation used to produce plastic parts in applications such as caps, closures, medical, PET preforms, and thinwall packaging; as well as complete system integrations including IML. StackTeck has dedicated R&D, testing and part sampling facilities, in addition to plastic part design, prototyping, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities. StackTeck Systems Ltd. is located 8 km north of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the Logistics and Crating teams, managing trade compliance, and developing efficient, cost-effective shipping processes for inbound and outbound shipments to and from StackTeck’s customers and suppliers. Coordinates daily activities of the Crating team, ensuring priorities align with logistics requirements and shipping schedules. Please note that this position is fully on-site.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ethical management of inbound/outbound product shipments to customers, sub contractors and partners to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies optimising costs, priority and risk.Adherence, creation, and implementation of policies & procedures for all company related logistics activities.Implementation & administration of government regulated programs required to move shipments to all global destinations, E.g., current wood stamping.Resolution of all problems & disputes concerning transportation, logistics systems, billing, and import/export issues.Ongoing review & classification of tariff codes for incoming and outgoing product & part shipments, including all Trade compliance related matters.Selection, approval and ongoing review of preferred Customs brokers and logistics providers for land, air and ocean shipments with emphasis on rate negotiation, service expectations and on time performance.Ensure company compliance with CARM (CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management digital initiative) and facilitate duty recovery / drawbacks where applicable.Manage StackTeck’s HT Program for wood compliance including yearly training.Manage all compliance related to CARNET bonds.Participate in the implementation of Microsoft D365 as a subject matter expert.Ongoing training of logistics and crating staff to ensure they can effectively cover vacation periods.Provide consultative support to suppliers, partners, and customers to assist with the export & re-import of products to minimize delays with ongoing projects.Monitor and determine the impact of changes in export trade laws & regulations and the ability to develop and adapt procedures as required by these changes.

WHAT WE OFFER:
The expected salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 annually. Individual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, job-related factors, and shift worked.
