Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for a PACKAGING LINE COORDINATOR to join our OAKVILLE team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will support the Packaging department by overseeing the shift and ensuring projects on the line run smoothly. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!

This position operates on a weekly rotation of day (7am-3pm) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shift basis and is eligible for shift premium.

Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.

As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to submit a clear Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to start date.


Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the packaging team on shiftProvide relief coverage for sleeving operationsEnsure packaging projects are completed timely and accuratelyMaintains Precision Record Pressing high quality standards on the line and general good housekeeping protocols on the packaging floorLogging packaging journals for projects completed on the floor Support the packaging operations to achieve productivity targetsPlan an effective and efficient schedule of labour for each projectProvide daily feedback to workers on performance through coaching and on the job training to improve efficiencies and standardize techniquesPrepare KPI data for managementMaintains necessary departmental documentation and logsPerforms QA sampling during assemblyCoordinating with internal departments to ensure packaging demands are metResponding to e-mails as neededOther duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate


Physical Demands

Required to stand for duration of shiftAbility to occasionally lift, push, pull up-to 75lbs Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of part and part containers – involves repetitive motionsDue to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditionsAdaptable to relative sound pressure levels


Requirements/Qualifications

Previous experience in supervising a team of people Previous experience in preparing and reviewing packaging documentation requiredProficiency in Google Business and Microsoft Suites, specifically Google Sheets, required. High degree of confidentiality and extensive attention to detail requiredMust have strong attention to detailMust be flexible and adaptable to changeExcellent communication skills, written and verbalMust be able to meet physical demands of job Excellent communication skills: written, electronic and verbalMust be capable of working in stressful situations in times of needMust be able to work overtime as business needs require
