Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision of all Quality Control Supervisors.
- Audits the Inspection Program Manual to ensure it complies with the MRB.
- Performs audits of the DTA program.
- Performs indoctrination, recurrent and any necessary update training of Inspectors or Lead/RII.
- Complying with applicable company policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Evaluate and approve Airworthiness Directives implementation documents, ensure compliance with the AD as well as company policy.
- Oversees the Calibrated tool tracking and oversight program.
- Issues Temporary RII Authorizations as necessary.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control Supervisors and Maintenance Planning Department on the scheduled workload for each aircraft to ensure sufficient time and access is provided to complete the maintenance.
- Manage and administer revision of AMM revisions pertaining to RII tasks.
- Manage inspection personnel staffing level requirements.
- Manage Quality Control Supervisor’s performance and professional development.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Manage Company Non Conformance investigations assigned to Quality Control, Records and Technical Services.
- Administer the Company Owner Operator Produced Parts program and issue associated certificates.
- Qualified to server as delegate for DQTS/Chief Inspector as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
- At least three years of experience on transport category aircraft with two years as a maintenance inspector, or equivalent experience acceptable to the DQTS/Chief Inspector
- Knowledge of applicable FAR's and PSA Airlines General Maintenance Manual.
- Strong ability to utilize MS Office, Adobe, and maintenance software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must possess or have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience working with MXI/IFS maintenance software
- Previous experience in a management position
- Composite Repairs experience
- Structural repairs documentation experience
- Experience coordinating efforts with multiple departments including Technical Publications, Engineering, Records, Training and Flight Operations.
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Chief Inspector.
