Job Description
The Clinical Nurse
The coordinator's role is essential in improving the patient experience on the units as well as elevating the quality of
Care delivery and patient safety. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director, they assist with orientation.
And training for new employees, ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies by enforcing policy and
Procedures, and improves patient throughput. In the absence or at the direction of the nurse.
Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, will maintain the operational and clinical aspects of the
Unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to staff management and development; appropriate
Staffing, patient flow/throughput, quality, patient safety and patient experience.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is expected to communicate and collaborate with patients, families, physicians and all other
Healthcare professional to meet optimum outcomes.
MINIMUM Education:
- BSN preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years current clinical nursing background required.
- Five (5) of progressive clinical experience to include Acute Care Cardiac Nursing, Acute Care Telemetry, Critical Care/Emergency Room Nursing, Case Management, Charge Nurse/House Supervision, or Transfer Center experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Progressive track record of leadership responsibilities.
REQUIRED LICENSES, Certificates, Registrations:
Registered Nurse (RN) with valid Illinois license
