Privacy & Compliance Manager at KLAS Research – Pleasant Grove, Utah

As the Privacy & Compliance Manager you would be responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving KLAS’s corporate compliance program, with a strong emphasis on data privacy and information security.

You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams—including HR, Finance, IT, and Legal—to identify risk, strengthen governance, and ensure KLAS meets its legal and regulatory obligations while continuing to move the organization forward.

What You’ll Do

Identify, assess, and mitigate corporate compliance risks, with a strong focus on data privacy and information security.

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls supporting regulatory compliance, ethics, and corporate governance.

Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on emerging compliance and privacy risks.

Partner across KLAS with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and executive leadership to embed compliance into day-to-day operations.

Design and deliver clear, practical training and communications to build employee awareness of compliance and data privacy responsibilities.

Review contracts for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.

Conduct internal reviews and audits, maintain compliance documentation, and prepare reports for senior leadership and regulators.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role; experience in research, healthcare, or data-driven organizations is a plus.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, with demonstrated experience in data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Relevant professional certifications preferred, including CCEP and privacy certifications such as CIPP/US

Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.

The salary range for this role starts at $95,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
