Description:

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator supports the accounting team by helping ensure customer invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. This onsite role is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting or finance. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and enjoys collaborating with both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Assist with the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and file pre-lien notices and related documentation with guidance from the team.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices and assist in resolving payment issues.
• Apply customer payments and help investigate billing discrepancies or short payments.
• Maintain billing records, retainage information, lien waivers, and other supporting documentation.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries and work with internal teams to resolve questions.
• Support month-end accounting activities, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Help maintain accurate customer account records and ensure documentation is up to date.

Requirements:

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• 0-2 years of accounting, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or administrative experience.
• Basic to intermediate spreadsheet skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software is helpful but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn accounting processes and procedures.
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City; no remote or hybrid opportunities.
