RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are looking for an RN to work on our 9-bed hybrid Stroke/Stepdown unit. This unit will offer a challenging and fast-paced environment for a motivated professional. This position will work with both stroke patients and stepdown patients. Patients will typically have a diagnosis ranging from TIAs, CVAs, respiratory distress, sepsis, renal failure, and DKA, just to name a few. These patients require a higher level of monitoring and may include titrating drips. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 and allows the nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and family members for a coordinated plan of care. Support staff are available to maximize and compliment the team. Orientation consists of approximately 16 weeks for new graduates and includes cross-training to ICU. Nurses with less than 1 year of experience will automatically be enrolled in our Nurse Residency Program. Come be a part of this exciting adventure!
