The Panama City Automotive Group is looking for our next Sales Manager. Located at John Lee Mazda, the Sales Manager position is a leader which partners with our Executive Manager and other management to help lead New and Used Sales, and Finance. This role drives the performance of the store by attracting, developing, and retaining great talent and creating an exceptional buying and ownership experience for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attracting, developing, training and retaining the very best talent for the dealership
• Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, and performance expectations
• Managing the negotiation and financing processes with Sales Associates ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
• Leading the New and Used Car Sales Department including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and the reconditioning process
• Creating an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
• Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance.
• Driving the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Automotive retail Sales Manager experience
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
• Proven ability to attract, develop and retain great talent
• Strong financial and business acumen and the ability to drive revenue and profitability
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Organization and follow-up skills
• Experience and desire to work with technology
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
• CDK experience preferred
• Dealertrack experience preferred
