Director of Product Development Lead the Evolution of Interior Specialty Systems

Job Overview
  • Company: LB Contract Supply.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $120,000 per year plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Travel Required (Madison, WI or DFW, TX).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: Commercial (Millwork / Carpentry / Interiors).

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a high-impact executive leader responsible for transforming our business from a single-scope subcontractor into a premier bundled specialty contractor platform. This is a "build-and-launch" role where your competitive drive and strategic vision will directly expand our market footprint and revenue per project.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Identify and launch 35 new specialty product lines, including wall protection, specialty glass, and architectural specialties.

  • Negotiate high-level vendor supply agreements to secure preferred pricing and establish long-term strategic partnerships.

  • Design bundled service packages for healthcare, hospitality, and multifamily sectors to increase project win rates.

  • Develop comprehensive pricing and labor models to ensure new product offerings are both competitive and profitable.

  • Build standardized estimating templates and productivity databases to streamline the preconstruction process.

  • Create detailed installation playbooks that empower the operations team to execute new scopes with precision.

  • Present value-added services and bundled offerings to General Contractors to deepen client relationships and market share.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction leadership, estimating, or specialty contracting.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven expertise in branding, pricing strategy, and high-stakes vendor negotiations.

  • Strong ability to interpret market demand and differentiate between good, better, and best product tiers.

  • Demonstrated history of being a "go-getter" who thrives in a highly competitive, results-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced experience as a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager within the commercial interiors sector.

  • Extensive knowledge of diverse construction scopes such as toilet partitions, signage, mirrors, shower doors, closet shelving, counter tops, cabinets, flooring, and/or final clean systems.

  • Proven track record of operationalizing new business units or product categories from the ground up.
