JOB SUMMARY

The RN is responsible for administering nursing care to patients via the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. The nurse also instructs patients and significant others in health care practices, working in collaboration with other health team members. The RN will be aware of Major Hospital policies and procedures and assist in providing evidence-based practices.

Eligible for 15% night shift diff and 50% weekend shift diff. Holiday commitment required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills

Professional & Technical Skills — Experience gained through an approved School of Nursing plus an appropriate period of hospital orientation to the assigned patient care area and to personnel.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or obtain within 6 years (current ASNs with MHP refer to SPP no. HR-18).

License(s) or Certification(s)

Must possess a current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
