Facility Technician in Modesto, California at Therm-x of California

The Facilities Maintenance Technician works closely with the Facilities team to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment throughout the building while ensuring all safety procedures and standards are consistently followed. This position is located in our Modesto facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Evaluate work orders to determine scope and work procedures necessary to perform job.
• Assist in the creation of a culture of safety and environmental protection by performing work safely, in accordance with departmental safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean appearance throughout both facilities at all times
• Replenish and restock supplies as needed
• Keep inventory of janitorial supplies as needed
• Maintain logs of completed work during daily activities.

Qualifications and Skills;

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time; walking; climb stairs; climb ladders; stoop and kneel
• Ability to work in the following conditions: heat, cold, heights, temperature swings, outdoors, indoors, trenches, or around the following conditions: mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor, dust/mites, toxic waste, chemical hazards and noise.
• Ability to understand and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Ability to respond to emergency situation in a timely manner.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
