Pharmacy Technician (Admixture)-Float

Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer? Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician (Admixture) to join our team in a float supporting our Glendale, Goodyear, and Surprise locations.

What You’ll Do: Prepare and compound medications, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy, under supervisionReview medication orders for accuracy, completeness, and authorizationVerify insurance approvals before preparing medicationsAccurately calculate dosages and conversions (metric/apothecary systems)Maintain inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medicationsKeep detailed logs (temperature, controlled substances, protocol drugs, etc.)Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety guidelines for medication handling and disposalClean and maintain sterile compounding environments (hoods, equipment)Stay current with new medications and protocolsTravel between locations as needed

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years of pharmacy experience, including sterile compounding (IV admixture and/or chemotherapy)Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and pharmaceutical terminologySolid math and dosage calculation skillsAttention to detail and commitment to patient safetyAbility to interpret prescriptions and follow protocols accuratelyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsOncology experiencePharmacy Technician certification (PTCB preferred)Experience with inventory control, purchasing, and dispensing systemsRetail pharmacy experience (a plus)Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
