Your coordination will help keep projects moving, deadlines visible, and contributors aligned across a distributed volunteer organization.
This is an opportunity to apply existing skills while developing new ones in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
The role requires a commitment of approximately 2–3 hours per week during US-based core team hours.

Accountabilities:
  • Help schedule and facilitate Video team meetings approximately twice per month and participate in selected weekly Social Media team meetings.
  • Support the overall video roadmap and objectives by helping establish goals aligned with the broader Marketing Strategy and Social Media Playbook.
  • Assist with planning and maintaining schedules for social media video releases.
  • Facilitate communication between Video team members and other teams, including Social Media, Community Outreach, Marketing Strategy, and Recruiting.
  • Provide concise updates during meetings and by email on the status of key video projects.
  • Support video producers in identifying and scheduling remotely conducted interviews with team members, partners, and other interview subjects.
  • Follow up with video producers and contributors as deadlines approach, helping adjust schedules and communicate changes.
  • Support the coordination and growth of the Video team while contributing to a collaborative and reliable volunteer environment.
  • When needed, assist with scheduling social media posts created by other team members.
Requirements:
  • Interest in and familiarity with video content for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Genuine interest in helping build and grow a video-focused team.
  • Commitment of approximately 2–3 hours per week during core team hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Availability to work at least one or two hours per week overlapping with US Pacific Time.
  • Current residence in the United States is required.
  • Strong commitment to strengthening American democracy and contributing to a civic-focused mission.
  • Willingness to collaborate with and support other volunteers in a fully remote environment.
  • Self-motivation, reliability, and a commitment to personal excellence.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate schedules and follow up on deadlines.
  • Ability to attend at least three team meetings per month.
  • Previous volunteer experience is welcome but is not required.
Benefits:
  • 100% remote volunteer opportunity within the United States.
  • Flexible commitment of approximately 2–3 hours per week.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to a mission focused on strengthening American democracy and civic participation.
  • Opportunity to use existing professional skills while developing new capabilities in video, social media, project coordination, and team collaboration.
  • Experience working with a distributed, volunteer-driven organization.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Video, Social Media, Marketing, Community Outreach, and Recruiting teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to open-source technology and civic engagement initiatives.
  • This is an unpaid, volunteer-based position.
