The position combines strategic planning, delivery management, risk oversight, stakeholder coordination, and executive-level reporting.
You will oversee multiple workstreams and ensure task order deliverables remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with contractual requirements.
Your work will support data-driven and value-based healthcare solutions designed to improve Veteran care while reducing costs and administrative burden.
The role requires a disciplined, results-oriented professional who can operate confidently in a complex federal healthcare environment with limited direction.
You will also have opportunities to engage directly with senior Government stakeholders and support important healthcare transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary and authoritative point of contact for all COR communications, providing timely, accurate, and professional responses to Government inquiries, direction, and feedback throughout the task order lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on comprehensive project management artifacts, including project plans, integrated master schedules, risk registers, and status reports in accordance with federal contracting and agency standards.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level program management materials, including briefings, dashboards, monthly status reports, and milestone reviews for senior Government leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead internal team coordination and cross-functional collaboration to keep all task order workstreams on schedule, within scope, and aligned with contract performance requirements and PWS objectives.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating critical matters to the COR and organizational leadership in a timely and structured manner.
  • Support strategic planning, execution tracking, and reporting activities that contribute to data-driven and value-based healthcare solutions for Veterans.
  • Report to the VA Central Office at 810 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC when requested by the Government to participate in on-site meetings, reviews, and engagements without charging travel expenses to the Government.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of federal healthcare program and/or project management experience, with a demonstrated history of managing multi-workstream task orders or contracts within a federal agency environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through PMI is required and must be in good standing at the time of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or working directly with federal healthcare agencies such as VA, DoD/DoW, HHS, or CMS, including familiarity with federal contracting vehicles, COR relationships, and Government program oversight processes.
  • Strong project management, organizational, communication, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential and satisfy applicable VA background investigation and suitability requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of VA Central Office in Washington, DC and be available to report on-site when requested, without Government reimbursement for travel.
  • Prior VA-specific program management experience, particularly with VA Central Office initiatives, healthcare transformation, innovation, or value-based care programs, is preferred.
  • Experience managing deliverables under federal IDIQ contracts and producing compliant Program Management Reviews (PMRs) or Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or comparable project scheduling and reporting platforms is desirable.
  • An advanced degree such as an MBA, MPA, or related MS, or additional certifications such as FAC-P/PM, PgMP, or a Lean/Agile credential, is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Opportunity to lead high-impact federal healthcare initiatives supporting programs designed to improve care and benefits for Veterans.
  • Direct exposure to senior Government stakeholders and complex healthcare transformation programs.
  • Opportunity to contribute to data-driven and value-based healthcare solutions focused on improving outcomes while reducing cost and administrative burden.
  • Work within a strategic planning and innovation-focused environment involving multidisciplinary teams and complex federal programs.
  • Professional growth through exposure to federal program management, healthcare innovation, strategic planning, and enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Hybrid flexibility may be available depending on project needs, although on-site reporting to the VA Central Office is required when requested by the Government.
