Job Description

Is This Where You’re Meant to Be?

GreenArrow is building something unique. We partner with leading infrastructure services companies across the United States, helping them grow while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit, expertise, and relationships that made them successful. Together, our companies deliver critical electrical and transportation infrastructure projects that keep communities connected, safe, and moving forward.

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead billing, collections, and receivables operations across our growing portfolio of companies. This is more than a traditional AR leadership role. You'll partner closely with finance, operations, and project teams to improve cash flow, strengthen processes, support growth through acquisitions, and build a scalable accounts receivable function that can support a fast-growing national organization. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, leading teams, and driving measurable business results, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

This position is based in our Chesterfield, MO, office and requires regular in-office attendance.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will play a key role in protecting and strengthening GreenArrow's financial performance by leading billing operations, collections strategy, and receivables management across multiple operating companies. You'll help ensure invoices are accurate, payments are collected efficiently, and financial risks are identified early.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including invoicing, collections, cash application, aging management, and customer account resolution.
  • Oversee construction billing activities, including progress billing, time-and-materials billing, lump sum billing, and AIA billing.
  • Manage retainage tracking and collection activities across active projects.
  • Partner with project managers and operations leaders to ensure change orders are billed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor receivables aging and develop strategies to improve collections performance and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Lead customer collections efforts while maintaining positive, professional client relationships.
  • Resolve billing disputes and account discrepancies through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop AR, billing, and collections team members.
  • Standardize processes, strengthen internal controls, and build scalable procedures across a growing multi-entity organization.
  • Support month-end close activities, AR reconciliations, and financial reporting efforts.
  • Partner with finance leadership to support cash flow forecasting and identify collection risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present AR performance metrics, trends, and recommendations to leadership.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, construction accounting, or a related finance function.
  • Experience leading, developing, and mentoring AR, billing, or collections teams.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-location, or multi-state environment.
  • Construction, infrastructure, electrical contracting, industrial services, or other project-based industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction billing practices, including progress billing, AIA billing, retainage management, lien waivers, and contract compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP or construction accounting systems; Vista by Viewpoint experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets, prepare reports, and support forecasting activities.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable management, cash flow forecasting, aging analysis, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines and drive results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
