Proposal Writer / Pre-Sales Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Proposal Writer / Pre-Sales Consultant based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape high-impact proposals and pre-sales strategies for U.S. consulting and IT staffing clients. You will combine persuasive writing, business research, solution positioning, and cross-functional collaboration to create compelling responses to complex opportunities. Working closely with Sales, Delivery, Leadership, and Recruiting teams, you will translate technical and staffing requirements into clear, client-focused solutions. The position requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under demanding deadlines. You will also leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate research, content development, and proposal workflows. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute directly to business growth.

Accountabilities
  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other client requirements from U.S. organizations and develop accurate, persuasive, compliant responses tailored to each opportunity.
  • Create and refine proposals, capability statements, pitch decks, solution outlines, and other pre-sales materials that clearly communicate value and differentiate services.
  • Partner with Sales, Delivery, Recruiting, and Leadership teams to gather technical, staffing, operational, and organizational information required for proposals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify relevant trends, client priorities, competitive positioning, and opportunities within the U.S. IT staffing and consulting market.
  • Translate technical, consulting, and staffing requirements into concise, client-friendly language while maintaining accuracy and strategic relevance.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, requirement discussions, strategy sessions, and other client-facing or internal proposal activities.
  • Develop and maintain a structured proposal content library, including templates, case studies, credentials, capability information, and reusable content.
  • Proofread and edit proposal documents and presentations to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, professionalism, compliance, and alignment with branding standards.
  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate research, content creation, data extraction, editing, and proposal automation while maintaining high-quality and original outputs.
  • Track proposal schedules, deadlines, follow-ups, deliverables, and submission status to ensure all responses are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with recruiters to collect candidate profiles, resumes, technical information, and delivery capabilities required for staffing-related proposals.
  • Maintain status reports and ensure all proposal deliverables are complete, properly reviewed, and submitted within established timelines.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in proposal writing, pre-sales, business development support, or a closely related function, preferably within U.S. IT staffing or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. IT staffing concepts, technology roles, employment and contracting models such as W2, C2C, and 1099, as well as MSP and VMS processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop structured, compelling, and compliant proposals while working under tight deadlines.
  • Strong research, analytical, editing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for proposal development, content enhancement, research, data extraction, or workflow automation, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Jasper, Writer, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with proposal management tools, CRM platforms, content libraries, or content management systems.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong “can-do” attitude, combined with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work according to U.S. business hours or a U.S.-aligned shift schedule.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Flexible work arrangement, with remote opportunities and onsite options where applicable.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development within a rapidly expanding consulting and staffing environment.
  • Collaborative and performance-driven workplace culture.
  • Exposure to U.S. consulting, IT staffing, proposal management, and pre-sales activities.
  • Opportunity to work with modern AI tools and emerging technologies to improve proposal and research workflows.
