META Social Media Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a META Social Media Specialist based in United States.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a social media professional focused on growing high-performing Facebook and Instagram communities.
You will create platform-specific content, manage publishing workflows, monitor trends, and use performance data to drive continuous improvement.
The role combines hands-on content creation with analytics, organic campaign execution, and audience growth strategy.
You’ll translate senior strategic direction into compelling social content while adapting quickly as priorities and platform dynamics evolve.
The ideal candidate brings strong copywriting, visual judgment, organizational discipline, and a data-driven approach to social media performance.
You’ll work in a fast-moving environment with distributed collaborators and have meaningful ownership over content quality and account growth.
This role is well suited to an experienced META specialist who understands how to turn audience insights and trends into measurable results.

Accountabilities:
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and platform-specific content for Facebook and Instagram, using audience insights, current trends, analytics, and established content strategy to support account growth and performance targets.
  • Program, schedule, and publish approved content using social media management and publishing tools at times designed to maximize audience reach and engagement.
  • Monitor post and account performance through relevant analytics platforms, tracking metrics such as engagement, reach, audience growth, and conversion, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Stay current on Facebook and Instagram trends, algorithm and platform updates, emerging formats, and relevant industry developments to identify opportunities for stronger engagement.
  • Prepare and present weekly social media statistics and trend insights using established reporting formats.
  • Execute organic social media campaigns aligned with broader content strategy to promote products, services, initiatives, and events.
  • Translate direction from senior content leadership into clear priorities and deliverables, adjusting quickly when strategic priorities change.
  • Collaborate with remote and distributed team members, including writers, designers, and scheduling specialists, to maintain consistent, high-quality output.
  • Provide constructive feedback on creative work while ensuring content remains aligned with established brand voice, visual standards, and audience expectations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or in a comparable role managing Facebook and Instagram accounts with 100,000+ followers per account, including experience managing a personal brand account.
  • Demonstrated strength in copywriting, particularly for educational or information-led brands where clarity, engagement, and credibility are essential.
  • Proven ability to translate senior leadership direction into actionable priorities and quickly reprioritize when business or content strategy changes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience establishing audience growth and engagement metrics, interpreting social performance data, and developing KPI-driven action plans.
  • Basic graphic design capabilities combined with a strong visual eye and understanding of aesthetics, composition, and social-first creative.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with remote or distributed teams and specialized creative functions.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback while maintaining consistency with a defined brand voice.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new social media, productivity, and technology tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and OneDrive.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, an up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with antivirus protection, and a quiet, distraction-free home workspace.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for a W-2 employer; international and California-based applicants are not currently eligible.
  • Willingness to complete a skills assessment as part of the application process.
Benefits:
  • $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Fully remote work arrangement with an emphasis on work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 80% of premiums covered.
  • 80 hours of paid vacation to start, with additional PTO increases based on tenure.
  • 40 hours of paid personal days each year.
  • Paid gym membership to support health and wellness.
  • 7 paid holidays.
  • 50% discount on company products.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET, including a one-hour unpaid meal break.
  • Supportive remote environment with flexibility to work from a comfortable home setup.
  • Opportunities to contribute to a large-scale social media presence and develop expertise in content, analytics, and audience growth.
