Job Description

Position Description:
ANPC is a global supplier of precision approach guidance and area surveillance solutions aimed at improving the safety and capacity of civil and military aviation for customers on all seven continents. Our transponder-based solutions are designed to serve airfields where others cannot. We are a team of extraordinary professionals working together to perform an important mission to uniquely serve airports with terrain, obstacles and other challenges that no other business can provide.

Job Summary
ANPC is looking for an IT Support Specialist to manage day-to-day internal tech needs as the primary internal IT point of contact. This role handles daily user support, device management, and account administration, while coordinating directly with outside Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ISPs, and technology vendors for escalated infrastructure and specialized project support.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal staff needing hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Set up, configure, and manage user accounts, permissions, and devices.
  • Manage relationships and tickets with outside IT vendors, MSPs, software providers, and ISPs—escalating complex network and infrastructure issues to resolution.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the new hire onboarding process.
  • Track IT equipment inventories, software subscriptions, and hardware lifecycles.
  • Oversee endpoint security, patch updates, and backup monitoring in partnership with external service providers.
  • Maintain systems documentation and guides, including SOPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams, and ensure they adhere to organizational policies and standards.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of IT systems.
  • Participate in workstation lifecycle management including imaging, deployment, hardware replacement, operating system upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems engineering and administration.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • 2+ years of industry experience with Microsoft and/or Google products.
Required Technical Skills
  • Cloud Identity Administration: Hands-on familiarity managing users, groups, and permissions within Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Google Workspace Admin Console.
  • Authentication & Security: Hands-on experience configuring, enrolling users, and troubleshooting Duo MFA (or similar MFA platforms like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator).
  • Operating System Support: Practical experience deploying, configuring, patching, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and standard desktop software.
  • Network Protocols & Diagnostics: Foundational understanding of network infrastructure and protocols, including DNS, DHCP, subnets, local IP assignment, VPN client setup, and running network troubleshooting utilities (ping, traceroute, nslookup, ipconfig).
  • Helpdesk & Ticketing Systems: Direct experience using service management tools (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk, Freshservice) to log, categorize, route, and resolve technical tickets.
  • Remote User Support: Proficiency with remote support tools (Quick Assist, Remote Desktop/RDP, TeamViewer, or Zoom/Teams screen sharing) to troubleshoot issues for remote staff.
  • Hardware Setup & Provisioning: Experience setting up workstation hardware, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals, as well as executing basic hardware diagnostics.
  • Asset & Inventory Management: Working knowledge of inventory tracking methodologies, asset lifecycle management, and physical hardware auditing.
  • Command Line & Utilities: Basic familiarity with Command Prompt or basic PowerShell to execute diagnostic commands or inspect system network configurations.
Other Characteristics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent internal customer service and explain complex technical concepts in straightforward terms.
  • High level of self-accountability, with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and quickly adapt to changing needs.
  • Collaborative workstyle and desire to share knowledge to build best practices
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach problems with creativity, flexibility, and curiosity.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and, occasionally, extended hours to ensure updates and changes do not impact clinic operations.

Desired Qualifications
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900 / AZ-900).
  • Compliance Awareness: Basic awareness of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or ISO 27001
